Hi, recently got one of these as it was cheap and really liked the small size. It came with a load of spare parts.
A 300mhz celeron board
A 400mhz celeron board
A 500mhz PIII board.
Unfortunately the P3 board was dead so I put the 400mhz board in, which is decent.
Anyways the bus is only 66mhz on the celerons but was 100mhz on the PIII which is a shame.
Can this thing be soft overclocked? I tried a soft FSB overclocker yesterday and upped the bus to 80mhz (max) and SuperPi returned the same results! so guess that didn't work..
Theres a mod on the 300mhz celly board to make it 100mhz but I can't solder unfortunately.
I guess I could look out for the 240x board (p3 500mhz) but it's a lot of messing around.
Also the box of spares I got had another screen in which was slightly bigger than the 10.4" i had, and it had a brightness slider on the side (some thinkpad model) does anyone know what unit this might have come from as i think it would do 1024x768 res which would be a major advantage as the 240 series only does 800x600.
What IBM sub laptops are currently out that have a small screen like the 240's did?
Sorry for all the questions.
