It would help others to help you if you told us the model number of the cpu and what motherboard you have. As a rule though you can only overclock K series cpu's and need a Z series motherboard to do it. On non K series cpu's you may be able to force it to run at it's max boost speed but that's about it and I am not dure if you need a Z series motherboard to even be able to do that.
