Overclocking Intel Core i5-3570K

You will be able to achieve a very mild over clock but you won't be able to get very far with the stock cooler before heat creeps in, it's a pretty terrible cooler for overclocking. Increase the multiplier incrementally and watch the temperatures on the cores. Staying under 80c is what I'd aim at.

If you want to over clock you'll have to invest in a better cooler.

Thanks i will eventually buy a cooler, i'll just overclock it slightly as i really don't want to damage any components!

Get a hyper evo 212+ Im at 4.5 with temps under 73c under full load

At what volts?

People are recommending coolers and just including the clock speed they are at... its the vcore that plays the role in the high temps.

Not a personal reply to you m4ci3k, just when I am looking at these threads people aren't stating the vcore (which is more important than what Ghz you are at).
