Hi All,

I have an overclockers system a Titan Exodus which is an i5 760 [email protected].

The system has 3 hard drives installed

c:\500gig
d:\500gig
e:\1tb.

Now SMART has said my E drive is failing. This was my steam drive so I have removed everything from it and reformated it but it's still erroring.

The thing is when I remove the drive i lose the overclock supplied by the bios and system for some reason even though it is not my windows or C drive.

Today I have ordered a new 2TB drive and am wondering if it's just a matter of resetting the overclock in the bios when I swap the drives over or is anything else needed?

if a hard drive is failing then you have to replace formatting it doesn't do anything. All hard drives fail it's just a matter of when not if.

I can't comment on why your loosing the oc when the drive is formatted or removed maybe overclockers have a small partition on there that has a program that sets the overclock of something.

If overclocking is done in the BIOS it should remain overclocked regardless of wether you have 1 drive 3 drives or no drives.
