Hi I am trying to overclock my AMD Athlon X2 250. However every time I up the frequency using AMD Overdrive, or let the system detect optimal OC settings, I BSOD. Even a very slight increase causes it to Blue Screen despite temps never breaking 40 under load. I think I'm doing it wrong. Anyway my setup is:

X2 250 3.0Ghz
ASUS M4A77T/USB3 Mobo
Geforce 460 1GB
Windows 7 HP

thanks it turned out lowering the RAM frequency to 1066 was all it needed to restore stability. On another question, the very helpful beginners guide to overclocking thread says up the CPU voltage by a notch if you reach a FSB frequency that is unstable at stock voltage, however my thing is saying CPU VID is maxed at 1.4000v (as in I can't actually up the slider any more) and there is a thing called NB VID which is at 1.17500v that I can increase. Is the NB VID what the guide means by Vcore?
