The other day I overclocked my i5-2500K to 4.4ghz. for the first couple of days it was fine, but after that it would run for 10 minutes and then crash and everything would freeze up. i have now put it back to default 3.3 and is working fine.

any ideas why this has happened?

I was playing COD: Ghost on max settings and it was at around 40-45.

Also, i only put it on turbo mode and it allowed me to select between 4.0 - 4.8
