I recently got the
MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC
on 25 december

And wanted to overclock the card a bit but on GPU i have little experience

The card comes on 1020Mhz clock
So got MSI afterburner and i cant unlock voltage control no matter what
I also got Msi kombustor to stress the card for stability
So i started the fun
Got to 1170Mhz on the gpu with 18% power target but the card was overheating at 80 degrees with 100% fan there were small artefacts from time to time
At this point i opened the window and stopt
Running perfect at 1140Mhz with 10% power target 76 degrees window open :P

On the memory i was able to go to 1720 Mhz with 5% power target 1740 Mhz will work only with 10% power target

So got to combine the outcome 1140 Mhz on gpu and 1720 Mhz memory 16% power target at 76 degrees window open :P

What is the maximum i should run the card 24/7 ?
1100 Mhz GPU and 1650 Mhz Ram how does it sound?

use beanchmarks like 3dmark to test/stress the gpu aswell as games, kombuster is very stressfull imo

idk what the norm is for those cards but the current oc looks ok,would go higher if you unlocked voltage

not sure on msi afterburner but could try with sapphire trixx for now

i read about the card
And it was overclockeat with voltage increase
But how do you enable that in msi afterburner
I went in the configuration file and modified but it will not give me control
It even tells me the message that i understand the risk of going over the cards parameters but no voltage control

Edit: the card does not go over 70 degrees in games
Was playing Call of Duty Ghosts fan spinning at 60% temperature 67 and the card had the OC to 1140 on the coor and 1700 on memory GPU usage 100% and 50-80FPS
Maybe i should take it further but i will not this is enough for me :)
