Hi,

I recently purchased a ASUS P8Z77-V PREMIUM motherboard, an 15 3570K Processor and RipJaws 16GB (4x4) DDR3-2133 MHz (PC3-17000) memory modules on QVL of the motherboard rated to run at 2133).

I have both switches (TPU & EPU) turned off.

I am new to overclocking and can not seem to get these memory modules running at the specified speeds. I have tried setting the XMP in the BIOS but it restarts a few times when trying power on and then boots windows ok. I then check CPU-Z and look at the memory section and it has not got the settings correct. I have also tried to manually set speed and timings etc but it always says the they are running at 12000 at best or lower.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Secondly, I would like to overclock the cpu to around 4.4, I can easily do this by changing the cpu bit to 43 (multiplyer). can the memory still run at 2133 speed if I overclock or am I missing something?

Very confused....
