I've just tried running 3D Mark06 after a heafty OC on my rig... and got a fairy low score (5900ish) running tight timings (2-3-3-6) with a divider.

I then tried having looser timings (3-3-3-8) with no divider and I scored a whopping 1000 points more

2 questions on this

1) Is it normal for DDR400 RAM to get to 255mhz and still be stable?
and
2) How comes it seems that my rig is more stable and scores better on lower latencies and faster speeds when everything I've ever read tells me it should be the other way around?

Thanks

depends on how big the divider was, 183,166,133,100 and what your fsb is at the moment eg, loose timings at DDR400 will be slower than say DDR560 with slightly looser timings

That's just it... 255fsb with no divider, I had DDR400 running at over DDR500
