Hey guys,

I have a Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 mobo its a couple of years old and i've read somewhere it has a power phase of 4+1 but have also read that its 3+1?

Anyway i was wondering if it would be dangerous of me to OC my FX 8350 on it from say 4.0ghz to 4.4-4.5?

Reason im asking is because some folks say it is, it's to do with VRM's and Mosfets or something?

Cheers

Not dangerous, but may be difficult to achieve with full prime stability. It will probably game OK and run most apps fine. The processor will throttle if it gets too warm.

I mainly game so if it's just going to game "OK" then maybe ill leave it at 4.0ghz, but i know curiosity will get the best of me at some point lol. I don't want to brick the thing though at the same time
