Overclocking monitor ?

Hello , i was reading on the internet about overclocking monitor(hz rate) , i don't know if it's posible or not , from what i read some said it cant damage the monitor , some may said it does , what is the truth and if it's posible , how ?
btw , monitor is BenQ GW2270 and i am planing to use it for mobas

Use this program called CRU linked below. I've used it before and it pushed a further +15hz from an old crappy monitor I used to use. From what I understand its hit or miss how far your monitor will overclock. Though it's prob best to invest in a 144hz monitor like I have not as dear as they once were.

It's possible, depending on the monitor.

How you do it depends on your GPU. With Nvidia it "can" be as simple as creating a custom resolution (and refresh rate).

It's worth noting that just because it will let you up the refresh rate and it may appear to work the monitor could be skipping frames - http://www.testufo.com/#test=frameskipping (Note the instructions at the top - You need a camera to get an accurate result)

@Jay the program is not complicated but still i have couple of questions , if i do a too high hz , what will happen ,and i need to start the program everytime when i want more hz ?
