My motherboard is the P965-DS3. I had it overclocked initially but after I updated my BIOS all my settings got wiped. Got it to 2.8GHz stable and even then the temps were fairly high (around 45-50 idle, 60 or so load). Now, however, the temps are sitting around 55 idle and 66-70 load! And I'm only up to 2.45GHz!

I believe I've changed all the necessary settings in the BIOS to give the optimum temp/OC. I've not changed any of the voltages, I've set the fan speed to Legacy + PWM and disabled C1E, TM2 and CPU EIST and Virtualization. What else is there? The room temp is quite hot at the moment but still, I would've expected far better.

I'm using the "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler". Other than that though I only have one other fan in the machine. Is this a huge problem? Obviously more fans would make a difference, but how much of a difference? I'm seeing people with temps of around 30 with the same setup as me.

Also - the RAM I'm using is the GeIL PC6400 ultra low frequency stuff.

On my CPU fan? How? According to the BIOS it's running at 1900RPM or so. I maybe wrong, but I remember it being able to go to 3000?
