Methinks that someones CAPS LOCK has jammed.......
Anyhow, to OC your CPU is primarily about upping the FSB. In most cases, many of the options in BIOS need turning from Auto etc. to manual.....and possibly a voltage raise.....and so on.....what motherboard are you using ?
lol sorry im not sure what motherbord it is my sisters boyfriend built it from aria but ill find out for you, what do you type when you get into bios? is there a way of seeing if your pushing the system to far or a preventing death of my hardware ?
If you're not sure what your doing, either don't do it or ask someone. If you overclock blindly, setting things willy nilly that's when you can cause damage. Take some time, understand what your doing and you'll be fine. Also should mean you get a MUCH better overclock from your system too
You dont even know how to overclock, and yet you want to watercool
If you mean what heatsink, a Scythe Mine would be my choice , yes the ninja and Tuniq are better, but for a tiny performance increase, your adding a lot of weight and higher cost... IMHO at least
well my cpu is duel core conroe 2.1ghz, my ram is 2gb corsair value, my gfx card is a albatron geforce 7900gt, and my psu is 500 watt, im not sure about the motherbord yet, and i have a phyics card which i bought for 20 pounds.
Ok if your cpu is 2.1ghz i would expect it to be a e6400, which is an allendale not a conroe. Do you know what make the powersupply is? Also it is pretty important to find out which motherboard you have. Open you case and have a look for a brand/model number.
What manufacturer built your PSU? Not all PSU's are created equal, the amount of Watts is not important now adays, the reliability, efficiency and amps provided along the numerous rails is.
Hmm if it's the Aria I just found in google then it may not be a good PSU, in fact it may be less than bad.
You really need a high quality PSU nowadays, especially for leading edge technology. Your current PSU may be working fine now, but overclocking may put more stress on what may be an already overloaded PSU?
That's just me, I never skimp on PSU's now, its the main component I spend money on getting one of the top brands.
