overclocking my e6600

hey, finaly got everything running today

started to oc my e6600

im at 2.8ghz with 1.365V, 315 x 9

whats the max volts i would be looking to go to?

im using a scythe ninja for cooling

and using the Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi

finding it a bit hard, from the bios i can only see the fsb and volts.

is the ratio cmos setting the multiplier? cos i cant find anything else, and its set to 9

any help is welcome


EDIT is it a case of jus uping the fsb and voltage?

well i have left orthos running at 3.1ghz, i think its at 1.4V, it orthos would stop after a few seconds until i got to 1.4v. temps are reaching 50C but my fan on the cpu is only running at 900rpm.

how would i speed the fan up?

got cpu overclocked to 3.15ghz

superpi 1mb in 16 seconds

combined with my 768mb 8800gtx i get 10995 on 3dmark06

ive had to up my voltage to 1.425 to get it orthos stable at 3ghz
