Hi i overclocked my i7-3770k for the first time yesterday, i have a Corsair h115i cooler.

Motherboard is a Asus P8Z77-V LX

I increased the clock to 4500mhz
put the voltage up to 1.320v

and a few other tweaks found in this guide

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBTvu1QQzdU

I ran a benchmark for a hour or so (p95) and it maxed at 64c but dropped itself down to 57c stable, fluctuating from 57-60 on 100% full load.

Would you say this is a pretty good overclock? shall i push anymore? should i adjust the voltage down a little? it seems a bit high? any advice would be great :)

I have noticed tho AIDA64 Extreme says 62c at the moment but Speccy is saying 70c??? which is to be trusted?

ok i'll do that, what do you think about the temps? i tried 4.6 at 1.325v and it crashed in minutes

and what program is best for temps? because everything i use varys

Is that the minimum voltage needed for that overclock to work? I only say this because I only need 1.23v and also those temps are low for that cooler at those volts.

That is just what it told me to do in the video guide, shall i drop them a little bit?

Should i alter the cooling levels on the h115i?

I stability test for an hour then use the PC. If it doesn't crash then I'm happy.

No point in being 10 hrs prime stable then crashing in games...especially if you then have to test for another 10 hrs.

ok i am running at 1.272v at 4.5ghz, running much cooler, maxed out at 68, i did set my pump to performance on the h115i tho.

I don't think 4.6 is possible, this seems fine, may aswell keep it like this :)

ok maybe not, had a blue screen after about 50 minutes, i have put the voltage up to 1.300v and testing again whilst i watch game of thrones :)
