Hi,

I purchased 2x Powercolour 3870 XT's from OcUK and when I clock them say 20mhz above stock clocks, and then run 3dMark06 I recieve errors usually on the last test.

The test just stops and reverts back to Vista desktop and says driver failed to load or something along those lines.

My Setup is:

Asus Maximus Extreme - 0905 Bios
OCZ PC 8500 DDR3 ReaperX x 2Gb Modules
Q6600
Enermax Galaxy 850 Watt
WD Raptors 36gb x 2 in raid 1
Seagate Barra 500gb

Case is the Nvidia Gamers Edition and has all occupied fans running at full tilt so I cant see this being a heat issue.

Could this be something to do with Vista and the drivers ?

atm I have been using CCC.

these errors though is it something to do with vista or overclocking the cards because I should easily be ok with overclocking 20mhz over the stock frequencies.

using 8.1 the latest drivers drom ati site.

these cards wont clock at all hardly for me dont know why.

pci frequency in bios is also set to 110, cooling is fine so dont know whats causing this issue.

anyone able to update me with any further information?

im still lost in space atm with the reason to why I get errors all the time in vista when running 3dmark06
