Hi All
Ive just built myself a new PC, primarily to play games on it. Ive been out of the PC world for a few years and find myself a tad confused. Is my system worth overclocking or not?
my system is
Ryzen 9 3900X
ASUS x570-F Gaming mb
16gb Corsair DDR4 3600
Sapphire Radeon RX 5700XT Nitro+ SE
Ive run a 3DMark on everything auto in the BIOS and got 9952, however when I use the BIOS EZTweek settings to run the processor at 4.1MHZ i get a slower 3DMark score by approx 100 points (the scores do vary a bit on multiple runs.)
That said, when playing actual games, all seems happy and good at either 3.8ghz or 4.1ghz.
Am I doing something wrong, should I just leave everything well alone and just play games or it it worth trying to manually overclock? If the latter, I don't understand all the abbreviations and terms or what to change and by how much?
thanks
