Hello guys.

First of all I'm a total noob to overclocking, so I'm sorry if this sounds very stupid.

I followed a few guides around the internet and I've managed to get a 3GHz overclock (CPU is an E4600)

The temps are fine, I've tsted it in games and it's all stable, however, when I restart my PC, or turn it on, it will sometimes hang at the startup screen, and I'll have to tuirn my PC off and back on again to get it working.

Is this a CPU Voltage issue? I left the voltage at default.

I have screenshots of the current overclock and I included one of all the voltages I'm able to choose, but I'm not sure which one I should take? And do all the other settings look ok?

Cheers

Have you run a stability test program like Prime 95 or IBT?

I would start by setting the ram voltage, most DDR2 runs at 2.1v but check as they do differ.

Take the cpu voltage off auto and find a stable voltage (again by stress testing), on that chip and that overclock I would start at 1.30V.

Looking at the first picture again I would try and set as many voltages manually as possible. Motherboard tend to overvolt (supply more volts than necessary).

So to recap:

Find ram the correct ram voltages and adjust.
Try CPU voltage at 1.30v and see if stable.
Try and set other voltages manually rather than leaving on auto.

Run prime for 8+ hrs, IBT can be a lot quicker.

Sorry I miss read the other votages for auto for some reason (too much sun) just leave them at default for now, you might not need to touch them at 3ghz.

What memory and motherboard have you got?

The default on most boards is 1.8v for the memory so for example if the memory needs 2.1v then you would need to set the dram setting to +0.3v.
