Ok my specs are as follows:

i7 920 C0
Asus p6t mobo
Corsair xms 1333 6gb RAM
Titan Fenrir Cooler
932 HAF case

I have read a lot of guides on how to overclock this cpu as i am aware you can get some great gains. I have real temp and prime 95 installed so am all set to go but just not that confident with messing with the bios settings. I would like some help to get a modest 3.33 ish out of the chip and hopefully i can go from there.

Any other guides or links other than the ones listed above would be most useful but really i just need someone to give me some ball park settings for bclk and voltage settings etc.

Cheers

if the i7s are as easy to clock as my q6600. i would have thought u could easily hit 3.3gig with stock volts.

go into the bios find out what the multiplier is (i think its 20) then divide 3333 to the multiplier.

then find the fsb setting and simply set that to whatever the result is you get.

increasing the fsb also increases your ram frequency but hopefully your motherboard will show that so if it gos over its rated spec then there is usually a setting to run a divider to lower the clock of the ram.

then reboot and run prime and monitor temps.
