Firstly, I tried the auto overclock feature on my P8Z68-V. This got me to 4.4ghz, but it BSOD after 45 seconds of Prime95. So I tried manually overclocking, read the guide on here, watched many youtube tutorials and also visited other forums for help. I did a multiplier of 46 and and a CPU voltage of 1.35. I also tried a few different variations of this, so for example, changing the multiplier and CPU voltage in little increments but each time it ethier, BSOD's before I can enter my password, BSOD's within the first 10 seconds of IBT/Prime95 or gets stuck on the windows loading screen. And yes I changed LLC etc. Just tried the auto overclock feature again and the screen just goes blank and goes to standby like there is no imput from the PC at all. Anyone got any advice for me?

Corsair H60 + I just did it, ran Prime95 for 4 minutes. Temps went to 85C and it was using 102w. What shall i turn down to lower temps a tad?

Yeah, just a single. Have a spare I could attach for push/pull. Might do that. Just set to 0.005 and highest temp was 86 and it bsod after 6 minutes?

in prime95? seems awfully hot for prime,if it was intel burn test id understand

try attaching two fans in push/pull,i was only getting 79c-85c with an akasa nero s cooler and a single fan

Why is it BSOD'ing so soon though?

probably because not enough cpu voltage,im only going off my chip but i need +0.010v and high llc, with that im 100% stable in intel burn test and prime95

everything else voltage wise is left on auto

in total around 1.36v for 4.5ghz at full load and thats including offset and what llc applies

Ran Prime95 for 15 minutes and hottest it got was 85C. Although it would be on 77/78 for 2 minutes then it would jump up too 84/85 for a minute. I know this is not what most people would consider a long run, ill run it for an hour tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

thats about right for that cooler, depends on your case and ambient room temps too,but 85c is about right,it wont get that hot in gaming/normal use ect
