Overclocking not shown in OS

I have overclocked my Asus Extreme mbb with 4770K to 4.6 & 4.8 GHz. However the overclock is not shown in the Windows OS (7 64 bit). When I restart or turn off my PC and go into the BIOS the overclok is saved.

When I run variuos utilities such as CPUz and increase my CPU load to 100% the max it goes to is 3.8GHz.

BIOS settings are. they look OK so not sure why it doesnt work?

CPUz doesnt detect it either. On 100% load it has 3.8 GHz

Im concerned my games arent taking advantage of the overclock as its not showing in Windows.

Hi i ran on OCCT test (v4.4.0).

CPU usage was 100%
min vcore = 0.85V, max vcore = 1.25V
CPU min 798 MHz, CPU max 3987 MHz

its showing 4.8 as a CPU turbo, so how do i get access to that speed. even when running OCCT it only goes up to 3.8

how do i set turbo ratios on auto? it seems my BIOS is set correctly, see above pics?

Check it with the cpu multi instead of turbo. It could be the power limits haven't been changed so when it turbos it's still basing it off a lower power limit than you're turbo can achieve.

I selected Adaptive Mode on my mbb so that it's not at full throttle all the time. I have the CPU ratio at 48, the CPU core voltage offset at Auto and the Additional Turbo Mode CPU core voltage at 1.30. I have custom watercooling so it's running at 36C atm.

maybe I should change the Additional Turbo Mode CPU core voltage to Auto?

Ive just tried. reset the CMOS and added in the overclock: 4.5 a@ 1.25V.

this is shown as CPU Turbo in HWiNFO but an AIDA stress test does not push the speed beyond 3.8
