overclocking on a bx2,should be a simple fix?

hi,i have just bought and installed a bx2,i cant seem to get the thing to overclock without saying that it has seen i cant post so would i like to change some settings in the bios.i know that i should adjust all this using the bios config switch on the mobo, but do i leave it on there or swap the chip back to normal after..seems a bit of a pain to do this every time..many thanks.

Its not an over clockers board mate,

no matter what the reviews say,

I could only over clock to 380mhz on the fsb, and that was it.

You need to go into the maint bios mode, (move the jumper)

Disable watchdog and c1e (although c1e speed step never actually disables)

also disable any other power saving features.

Then boot back into the normal bios and you should be able to clock, just dont expect to get any where over 400mhz on the fsb,

Also note you need to increase the 2 chipset voltages to a min of 1.45v for one and the other 1.65v

canna remember their exact names.

hope thats of some hope.

I have broken free from the bad axe 2 chains, and bought a gigabyte p35 ds3r and loving it. 3.52ghz right from the go with my quad core. :D

could only manage 3ghz with the bad axe2 and that was flakey.
