As the title states I'm looking to over clock my P5Q-Pro board and just wondered if anyone here had relative (up to date) information on the best way to go around it?

My CPU is a Q660 GO
CPU Cooler is a Dark Rock Advanced, which has just been installed today (Interesting first time off with no manual!)
my RAM is: Corsair 2GB DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Xtreme Performance Memory CL5
My GPU is: Gigabyte GTX 460 OC 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition

Just to add I'm currently testing my FSB at 320 and running Prime95. The idea is to get a little extra help on all the settings for RAM etc to help out.

Small Steps at time, and if you dial in 400 fsb and set multi to x8 you should hit 3.2Ghz pretty easy. anything over that is a bonus. NB voltage will need a small bump but cpu volts is key on the Q6600 keep it below 1.4 to start with you shouldn't need more than this for 3.2, I'm running at 1.42 on an x48 board at 3.6Ghz current cpu temp under 100% OCCT testing 53oC this is under a Megaharlems .

Good luck

leave the ram timings on auto, but.
in the bios, make sure the ram speed is at default speed, (unlinked) so as you raise the fsb, the ram speed does not raise as well.

pretty much as coolbreeze said, either go 400 x 8 or keep the x9 multiplier and keep raising the fsb in 20mhz steps, and running intel burn test for around 20 mins between each step.
most G0 revision Q6600's will get to 3.0ghz with only a tiny raise of voltage, but these can take upto 1.5v and top temp is 80.C
you might be able to get to around 3.2 - 3.6ghz depending on revision and temps, so good luck, and take your time
