Hello guys, I am new to overclocking. I have an I7-6700k and a Gigabyte Z170-HD3P motherboard. I managed to get a stable overclock of 4.5GHz on all cores with 1.33V, LLC on High. I am pretty happy with that as it looks like that's the "Sweet Spot" for this CPU. Going to 4.6GHz requires around 1.39volts which I am not comfortable running through my day-to-day CPU.

I have done a few hours of OCCT and RealBench and have not had any problems, I have also played some games for a few hours and there have been no crashes so I consider it stable.

My question is how does Gigabyte DVID works and how do I set it up to get to the required voltage?

What I'd suggest is to sell the 6700K and Z170 while they are still going for a decent price and buy a 11400F + B560 which cost similar to what you'd get from selling the parts and you will gain far more performance than trying to overclock the 6700K.
