Hi guys,
I've just upgraded my whole rig pretty much from a fx4100 system to a Intel based rig powered by a I7 4770k, corsair pro series ram ( 8gb 1866mhz) all on a Asus maximus Hero board.
The performance increase ( even with a unlocked 6950 instead of my 7970) has been incredible! Arma 3, bf3 etc all play great with much higher fps all round.
Anyway, I'm looking at overclocking and read a few early guides based on the 4770k but was wondering if someone one here has a similar spec rig and can assist?
My only issue is I'm stuck using the stock cooler until next month so worried about temps.
What are the max temps on these cpus?
Sorry for the noob question but it's my first Intel rig so it's all New territory.
Thanks guys

I would keep it below 75c.. although it's probably safe to 80c.

Safest thing to do is just wait until next month when you have a better cooler and weather is cooler.

My 4770k ran 4Ghz never getting above 70c on the stock cooler.
So you shouldn't struggle at all until that at least.
