Hey guys i was wanting some advise on overclocking my CPU. if you want information on my motherboard just google it. my RAM is kingston PC3200 (200 MHz). Ill show some pics of my specs & temps:

As you can see my RAM isnt going as fast as it can but i dnt know how to change this.
Guys hope you can help. Thanks for reading. ;) :D

cool thanks for replying. but i cant seem to find an overclocking utilaty that works with this board. clockgen doent work.

Dont worrie.im using the bios. yes this is my only pc. little question. how will i up the voltage when it comes to it?

You can't. The best you can do is increase the RAM and Northbridge voltage to [HIGH] (very bottom of the chipset menu).

It should do a conservative 10-15% overclock without any extra voltage (225-230FSB is the realistic maximum you'll get on this board I think) but you have to remember that almost made before overclocks like Core2Duo's so don't expect a massive overclock from your P4, especially with a very basic motherboard. If you had an Abit AL-8 or Abit LG-81 then you'd be looking at 3.8-4.0GHz, but I think you'll have to settle for 3.3-3.4GHz tops. Sorry.

that doesnt really bother me. thanks for the info. i just wanted to squeese every bit i can out of my current hardware.]
currently on 3.23ghz doing the stabilaty test.
will keep you updated. if i reach my limit what will happen?
will it let me just not boot?

As you near the limit it will not boot into Windows, which is your signal to up the voltage (which you can't do). Ultimately, no, it won't boot, but if you're just nudging the FSB up 2-5 steps at a time then you shouldn't ever reach that stage.

ooo problem. im at 220 fsb and when i run prime on the blend test my compter starts to lag but it didnt do it before. is this my ram stopping me. as it is currently at 176.0mhz. i had temp reading of 125 on my motherboard and the AUX!!!!. what caused this? how can i get round it

ok this is weird ive started the blend test again am all is going well. im going to run this for a hour or so insted of the begginners guides 30min.
everything is running fine cpu only hitting 45'c max. im pretty pleased.

anyone wanna give me some more advise?

What do you mean lag?

Stupid temperature readings are usually just plain wrong, if you really had those temperatures the back of the case would be VERY warm, especially directly under the Northbridge chip.

It's only a tiny overclock, so don't worry.

well everything would jutter. and take a long time to load. but its fixed now. thats what i was thinking. how the hell can my motherboard be 125'c.

can anyone help me with this prob ive got. i have noticed that the ram isnt in performance mode. how would i turn this on? and would it help me overclock?
here is how far i have got with overclocking:

what do you think? temps dnt touch 50'c on load.
