Hello!

I have a question as usuall, i've been overclocking my 955 a lot lately but i never play about with the cpu NB or HTlink speeds. I've noticed in the other overclocking thread that people are saying that if you overclock the cpu you should also increase the cpu NB and HTlink speeds for better performance... is this necessary? I've never played about with those 2 mentioned above before so i dont want to start doing anything without some proper knowledge first.

Anyone able to help please :)?

Thanks..
Jay

Someone in the Phenom II overclocking thread had better results with a lower CPU and higher NB and HT than stock NB and HT and a maxed CPU.

Does changing cpu NB and HT speeds alter temps aswel? I noticed at 3.8 using prime95 my temps would hit near 53c on the H70 cooler.

Okay so there are gains from altering from stock but i really need something to start with i.e. how much should i increase it by per stability test and what voltages for the cpu NB?

CPU-NB is worth taking to 2600MHz-2800MHz.

HT you don't need to touch, you'll get very minimal if any performance boost.

What voltage should i start with for those speeds? I have CPU NB voltage tweak in my bios.
