Hi guys,
I have had this motherboard for a while, but only recently aquired the CPU.

At stock it is at 3ghz, but Ive heard I should be able to reach 4ghz with adequate cooling.

I also have now fitted a Titan Fenrir cooler (HUGE!) but now need some advice on overclocking on my motherboard.....

I have checked the settings in the bios and I seem to be unable to change the FSB speed? I know this is the all important setting that needs to be changed, but I am unable to do so?

Anyone know of any setting that is a prerequisite to changing the FSB? Or any reason why the motherboard/cpu would be locked to not allow this to be changed?

Also can anyone recommend any in-windows overclocking utilitys to use with this board?

Thanks

Dave

It is the Asus P5K Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

That is as it was listed from OCUK, no longer selling it tho.....

Ill have a look see if I can get the exact model number when I get home... any tool I can use to do this?

Hey Davepen,

that's a nice budget LGA775 board, always wanted one of those but I got suckered into buying the P5K-E :p

As far as I remember the feedback I read on the *Vanilla* P5K (as it was called, PCB colour) was positive, I think the only bug with that board was Loadline Calibration didn't work as expect (this may have been fixed by a recent BIOS uodate?).

Anyhow the setting you need to change is Ai Overclock Tuner which I suspect is still on [Auto] . . . once you change that to [Manual] a few extra BIOS options will appear including the elusive FSB-Freqeuncy you been hunting! :)

Hi guys! Thanks so much for all your help :D Finally got it working!
Currently stable at 3.8 but Im gonna try and push it to 4 :D
