Overclocking problems with memory timings

Ive got a Gigabyte EP43-USB3 mobo and running with an Intel E8400 , GTX275, 4gb of 1333MHz SuperTalent DDR3 RAM.

When I first got this board I started to OC it. I pushed the FSB up from 333MHz to 400MHz, with a multiplier of 9 to get 3.6GHz cpu clock. At the same time, I set the memory latch to 400MHz and a System Memory Multiplier to 3.33, which should have resulted in a memory speed of the stock 1333MHz.

But, upon reboot, I just get about 20 short beeps then it powers off again, and it power cycles untill it automatically finds some settings that it posts with. The settings it changes itself are the memory latches and the multiplier.

I wasnt too happy at that so i started to play around with the latch and multiplires. I can set an FBS of 415 MHz (giveing 3.75MHz cpu clock) and then have to set a memory latch 400MHz and a multiplier of 2.66, giving me a memory speed of 1107MHz. That is the setting that I have been running at for a few months. Untill I started tweaking agian. But I still cant fix it.

The options in the bios give me:
400 fsb 400 latch 3.33 multi = 1333MHz = no post, beeps
400 fsb 400 latch 2.6 multi = 1066MHz = boots
(415 fsb 400 latch 2.6 multi = 1107 MHz = boots)
400 fsb 333 latch 3.2 multu = 1280MHz = BIOS 'ok' beep but no post. somtimes manages to partially boot memtest. By partially I mean half the text is missing. less than RAMS rated speed.
400 fsb 333 latch 2.4 multi =960MHz = boots

Can someone here wiser than me give me a heads up on what could be the problem? Or to just replace the board? I got it from OCUK on the 3rd of march and still have the reciept.
