I have a sony vaio bx laptop 1.73ghz Pentium M cpu. I want to overclock this however, i cannot find the setting in the bios. Is there a way to overclock??

Thanks

Access to clocking features are probably locked on most laptops like yours, I wouldn't recommend doing it on a laptop either due to insufficient cooling.

aye, im fairly sure that 99.9% of all laptops dont have overclocking features. They're designed with much lesser margins on cooling, power consumption etc. I believe one or two models, I cant remember which now, have a 'turbo' style mode, which they can use when plugged in, which essentially amounts to overclocking, aside from the usual speed-step stuffs.

Deffo would not risk ocing a laptop as they run rather toasty as it is.
