Hi to all that read, as this is my first post..

2 Months ago i purchased an overclocked system. The overclocking profile did not work at first but with a little help from the technical staff via the phone it worked eventually and im over the moon with it..:)
Anyway i was so impressed with the service and i like many others on here have recommended overclockers to my friends and family. Getting to the point now.....
My brother in law has purchased the

Intel i7 860 2.80Ghz @3.80Ghz,
Asus P7P55D Evo Intel P55 Mobo,
Corsair XMS3 4GB PC3-12800C9 1600mhz DDR3 Bundle

This has turned up today and i have installed it into his tower along with all the rest of the stuff booted it up and it hung for a while and didnt do anything.
I have tried various things to get it going like reloading the ocuk profile but it doesnt want to know, but as soon as i load the default settings it boots up no problem formatted and loading windows 7..
This indicates to me that the profile for the overclock isnt correct or corrupt but makes me think. This happened on my system and now on this sytem why me...
Anyway getting to the point big style now..Is there or can there be a link via the forum to certain profiles so that we can grab them as and when instead of making costly phone calls..

Any help appreciated...cheers..

I am a little lost on the supplied bundles, I too had issues with a i7-920 setup, I am sure there will be counter points but from a forum members perspective, there seems a poor record considered the "extensive testing and setup" the bundles are subjected too!

I would still recommend OC bundles to a semi-enthusiast, but I would not to a general friend/family as its not quite a off the shelf purchase its marketed as.

I had same problems, the profile would not load right, the help i got was second to nothing from the help desk @ ocuk, so done some reading and set it up again myself, with help from the forum guys here.

Future recommendation

Hi m8 thanks for the reply i see your point on recommendation and will take that firmly onboard, but on this occasion my brother law has a semi enthusiast helping him...me ;)...though i confess to knowing nothing about overclocking thats why you purchase the bundle already done :D
Cheers again

Hi m8 and thanks for your reply..
You hit the nail on the head my friend that is why i decided to become a forum member as all the help is right here but it seems like we are not alone with regards to the profiles not working..
Looks like a phone call and some reading for me then...:D

Cheers agin pal..
P.S How do you get your rig underneath your post as i would like to show my rig off aswell...

Hi there

unfortunatly you will only see problems we have posted here, these figures pale in comparison to the amount of bundles we actually do ship
there is the customer support forums, this service tends to get overlooked even though the quality of support there is superb

the commercial scale of the bundles that we sell means that not every bundle will be 100% perfect if the customer chooses to pair it with hardware that requires adjustments for the bios.

whilst this section of the forum is thr first place people go to to ask for assistance, the sub 3% return rate on bundles speaks for itself

some people choose to use RAID arrays, multiple cards and different memory on thier systems which sometimes requires additional voltage to certain components.

i of course try to rectify all of these issues myself and spend as much time as i can on the customer support phone and forums.

Bundies,
welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay :)

i spoke to you on the phone earlier today and have figured out what the issue was with your bundle. if you could enter the bios and lower the DRAM frequency by one notch, this should resolve the issue]

i tried to call you back but the number is not recognised for some reason, i have emailled you further instructions just incase :)

if you want to use the signature feature then you can do so in the user CP at the top of your page - there is useful info here
please read the rules around signatures first and familiarise yourself with the forums rules here
