Hiya Guys...

I happen to have a spare 939 mobo lying around gathering dust (Abit Fatality SLI) so thought it would be fun to go for a budget system and see how I did overclocking... I've overclocked before, although not for a while, back in the day when the BH6 ruled the roost and we had fun pushing Celeries and PIII550's to silly levels, so a bit rusty.

Basically I'm thinking of picking up a pair of low end 6600's or something like that, and seeing how far I can push them in combination with a second hand Single Core CPU. Ram wise I'll probably go the simple option of Geil Value unless there's a damned good reason not too.

PSU for this project will be a Antec Truepower 350W.

So any thoughts on this little bit of fun?

Be fun to water cool it too - not sure on the budget for that though.

You will need a bigger PSU methinks!

For the cards > get 2 Zalman jobs. Watercooling will not get you much more...maybe 50mhz, unless you're TEC cooling, but you probably don't want to go there! Darn expensive to run as well!

What CPU should I be looking for? ( at around the 3000+ Mark I'm guessing - got my eye on a 146 opty which I assume would be a great choice - how much would one of those be worth second hand? )

Which cards should I choose, say Ummm £150+coolers Max?

Which Zalman cooler?

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940) (FG-000-AR) best choice for this project?
