Hey, ive been away from overclocking a long time and i had forgotten to reoverclock my cpu after having to run everything stock a long time ago to sort out a problem i had.

Now im trying to hit 3.4ghz but i find i cant really remeber any of the settings i used to have.

It appears to not even post without at least 1.45v through. But im unsure whats expected voltages for a q6600 GO for 3.4ghz, i mean i thought you could run 3ghz at almost stock voltages and im having to put 1.4v through mine, though i think it can go a bit lower.

My MCH is at 1.27v but that didn't seem to help it.

:EDIT:

From the looks of it i may need to put my MCH a lot higher? some people running 1.33 and 1.41 ?

What volts have you got your RAM at ?

You may need to up that (mine is 1.8 stock rated to 2.2) I need 2.1 through it to post an overclock of 3 and above :)

Hmm, I have 1.9v ram and 3.5ghz q6600 (currently tweaking my OC). I set vCore in my bios to 1.465 because the vDroop is a whopping 0.12V, it is at 1.344 accoring to cpu-z.
Been OCing my q6600 recently so I should be able to help you out: voltage for 3.6 stable should be around 1.408, to take into account the 0.012V vDrop under load, in the bios its set to 1.5265 or thereabouts. You need to know the vDrop and vDroop of your board.
I am currently working on a spreadsheet for the processor's varying performance at different speeds: http://www.bozebo.com/q6600OC.ods (open office calc)

my vram is at 2.1v, it could bel ower but i will fiddle with it later.

Yeah my board got bad vdrop as well, not sure the exact amount ill have to check it out. Might try puttin it up some more to get 3.4ghz.

What you got your mch at?

I have all my voltages except ram and vcore set to auto. Could probably lower them for better ambient temperatures but it would be a hastle. It varies vastly depending on the chipset what your mch will need to be.
this thread seems to state the recommended voltage for a q6600 oc to 3.4GHz: 1.375 vCore.
Some of those people set their mch to 1.35, on mine I think when I was playing with non auto voltages i needed over 1.45, but this is a different chipset
