Hi guys i would like help getting my q6600 b3 steeping (yes i know):( to 3.2ghz on air i would need to know the correct settings for this rig

Asus p5b motherboard
Q6600 @ 2.5 ghz ( i overclocked it slightly)
3gb 667mhz ram
650w psu

Ai suite and pc probe both show temps at 25-31 idle and about 40-46 under load i have never hardcore overclocked so would need some advice on what settings to put under my bios

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey,

For 3.2GHz, you'd need something like the following:

FSB: 356MHz (1424 Quad-Pumped)
Multiplier: x9
Try to keep the ram at 333MHz (667MHz effective) I'm not sure what your options are, but try to set it as low as possible at first, and work on getting your processor to 3.2, once it's stable at around 3.2GHz, increase the memory speed until you find the limit.

Also, try to keep the processor voltage below 1.375V (as shown in CPU-Z)

Hope this has helped,

Banjo

ok so i played with my clock settings this morning and achieved 333Mhz > 3Ghz so i then left the voltage on auto and the cpu on idle is about 32-38 idle 40-47 under load my vcore though is displaying 1.33v is this good or bad
