I cannot get even a small overclock on my system without it locking up on me. It runs absoloutely stable at stock. Have run the memory voltage at recommended level and have played with upping the CPU voltage slightly but it won't have it. I know that i should be able to get it to overclock to at least 2.7GHz without changing voltage settings. The CPU runs very cool with an Arctic Cooler. Any ideas ???

ATI X1800 XT 512 Graphics

first off: have you set ram timings and ram voltage in the Bios?

normally the Bios will auto detect, you will need to do the above first manually

This should be located under the advanced chip set setting in the Bios

I had loads of trouble getting my Q6600 overclocked on my P5WDH rev1.02. I tried everything and it wouldn't go over 2.9Ghz.
I read that the board its not great for quads (the later rev are supposed to be better) so got an IP35-Pro and now the same chip runs at 3.5
