Hey,

These are my computer Spec's

Q6600
Asus P5E Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Now, the Ram i have chosen is the:

However, i've been told that if I want to overclock my Q6600 to 3.6Ghz+ then I should get this RAM:

I would just like some confirmation on which RAM to get. As the Geil is 800Mhz and the G.Skill is 1066Mhz so the G.Skill RAM i'm being told not to purchase is actually the quicker one.

At 3.6ghz (400x9) you won't get full use out of PC2-8500. The PC2-6400 would be the wisest choice.

If you haven't already bought the G.Skill then go for the Geil.

that GeIL is good to up to 3.6, probably a bit more... unless you are on some serious cooling and want to run 3.8+ 24/7 (assuming you have a CPU that will) then the GeIL is more than suffishent
