hey i just oced my q6600 g0 stepping to 3.2 on an 780i motherboard at stock voltages i was idling about 37 and load about 55, now im idling about 45 and load about 67 the core voltage is set to auto on my motherboard and i think its about 1.37
how can i lower the temps? lower the voltage?
i have a tuniq tower 120 on at the moment with some mx-2, when i take the case off the temps drop by a good 8-10 degrees
cheers
i hope you can help a n00b in need

also windows seems to think my cpu is running at 3.6 but i set the fsb to 1600 and the multiplier to 8 and the bios says 3.2

tat bay adapter sounds interesting can you link me?
also is the cpu voltage fine and would i see better stability if i changed the setup from 1600 fsb and 8 multiplier to fsb at 1423 and multiplier to 9

yeh i cleaned up cables but not around harddrive bay (where the intake is ) im getting a new case if i do well in my exams
