Hi, I've just got a new computer (sig) and I am trying to overclock it (first time overclock).
I've been searching for answers to a few questions but I cannot seem to find a definate answer.
I've currently got it at 3302Mhz (367 x 9) and I've done a short test (20mins) with Prime95 on small FFTs (I'll do a longer one tonight).
However in the BIOS I have set the voltage to 1.4v (reported as 1.312v in CPU-z) and I want to know if this is too high for 24/7 usage? I plan to keep the CPU for 3/4 years and I do not want to shorten it's life too much.
The only relevant options I have changed in the BIOS is the FSB and the vcore.
I have a Thermalright 120 Ultra as my heatsink and CoreTemp is currently reporting 63/63/60/60 at full load on all cores. I've seen people with these values or even high, but I am unsure if they intended to use their PC 24/7 with these values.
