I've never overclocked before so I'm not really sure if im doing the right thing. I've used ai suite which came with the motherboard and upped the fpu frequency to 280.00. I then restarted, checked the bios and the fsb is now showing 1182mhz? I then checked everest ultimate edition and it showed - CPU FSB 280.8 MHz (original: 266 MHz, overclock: 6%). So i'm just wondering if this was a successful overclock or not? Do I need to raise the cpu frequency higher? Am I going to see any improvements on my system.

Dont use ai suite, go into bios and do it properly. Its not that scary, just do some reading on here 1st and maybe print out a pic of someone bios on here so you know what you should be looking at

I have the same motherboard and initially used the ai suite to play with an overclock but it made things unstable at 2.7ish so got rid of that program when i formatted and have used the bios and its much easier.
