hi,
i recently bought a q9550 and currently overclocking it. so far i got it to 3.52 (440 x 8) now i know that 65nm cpus can have a limit of 70c when oc, but 45nm has a limit of 1.4v before it degrades or something. now should i go by CPUZ voltage or bios? and is temp limit 70c for them too?

1.4V??? Sounds high. I have my Q9550 at 3.65Ghz with 1.25V. A lot of other people have reported similar to me. Also, get a better heatsink. My Tuniq tower keeps the temps down to 67C max. Usually never even approaches that. Wont get higher than 3.65 on air though (certainly not stable).

You sure you arent talking about cpu voltage here? VTT is fine up to 1.38/1.4 just dont go above that.
