Hello all,

I've never had any experience in overclocking and I would like to overclock my e4300 but I'm afraid of screwing things up. I've been reading a lot of guides on overclocking the e4300 online and I know what do I have to modify on the BIOS but I dunno what to change the options to.

The specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte 965P-DS3P
Processor: C2D e4300 1.8ghz
RAM: 2 x 1gb PC2-6400 (400MHz) Nanya Technology (Dual Channel)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS 512Mb RAM
Cooling: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro

I have Core Temps 0.95 to find the temperature readings and it gives me the following results:

Idle: 100C (Tjunction) 40C (Core 0) 42C (Core 1)
Loaded: "" 56 C (Core 0) 56C (Core 1)

I dunno whther this is normal but the case is in a room with good airflow and has 3 fans plus a huge fan pointing to the front of the mobo.

Can anyone please tell me whether the teperatures are what it meant to be or whether I need to modify something and also if anyone can tell me what do I have to type on the BIOS when overclocking in order to get 2.7Ghz.

Thanks everybody!!!!

Have you read the second and third stickies at the top of this section. They should tell you all you need to know. I think your temps are a little high but not enough to worry about.
