I am new to all this and I have the following system;
Asus P5E64WS
Intel Q6850 3Ghz (currently running at 3.3Mhz by increasing clock from 9 to 10)
4Gb Ram (1333Hmz)
Radeon HD4870
1000w PSU
Not sure what other info you may need, but getting back to my problem. I find this very hard to overclock. If we peek within any motherboard BIOS setting there are so many things which can be tweaked and I am worried that I may permanently damage the CPU.
I have heard that the Intel quad cannot be overclocked very well; is this true?
Can someone help?
