Overclocking question!

Hi ive recentely bought a i5 2500k 3.30mhz
and a p8z68 board

when i use the auto tuning from asus it says it over clocked to 4.5mhz
but when i run cpu-z it just shows 1645mhz or around abouts .
It doesnt even change when i run games.

is there a program that will show my current speed more accurately?

in bios is says target turbo mode 4.5mhz , how do i put this "turbo mode" on?

The cpu only clocks up when loaded...

Run prime95 or something at the same time as cpu-z

As chaparral says, the CPU multiplier increases when the CPU is under load, it automatically underclocks your CPU in order to save power when it's idle.

Running Intel Burn Test or Prime 95, you will see it jump right back up to what it's maximum clock speed is set to.
CPU-Z is perfectly fine for measuring current and maximum clock.
