will be ordering a new system wednesday(ish). it will include an i5 750 cpu and this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-206-GI mobo. at the minute i know next to nothing about overclocking but plan to do some reading up on it and would like to possibly try it out in the near future. is this mobo 'noob friendly' when it comes to overclocking? or should i look at something different

yes, it is, the gigabyte mobo's come with dual bios so if you make any major mistakes you can either reset to default settings or just overwrite the bad BIOS with the backup one. Gigabyte are friendly as can be for new overclockers. You will even find a MIT section in the BIOS which is all of the overclocking section in the BIOS. Also, i find a nice feature is that it will warn you if you change an important setting. This can be useful if your not entirely sure what part of the BIOS does.
