I've never really tried to overclock ram, but is it worth it?
Also atm im running at 5ghz (with specs in sig) is it possible to overlock my ram without losing cpu speed?
Whats the best/easiest way to get some more out of it?

Is it possible? or am I being a bit silly in asking?

i better question is why are you using 12Gb of ram in a set-up that requires dual channel so thats either 4gb,8gb,16gb,32gb

if you have 12gb either companies have started making 3gb sticks without me knowing or you are using 3 channels.

you will probably find your system will be faster if you take out the 3rd stick as IIRC the mobo can't run in dual channel mode with 3 sticks inserted

12GB could be 2x2GB and 2x4GB.

OP there's not really any point in overclocking RAM with Sandy Bridge.

RAM speed makes very little difference:
