Overclocking results in freezing?

Hey guys,

When I overclocked my computer @ 3.2 Ghz. It was running stable.
Primetest95 and Intel burn test stable.. but somehow it kept freezing.
What comes at first in my mind was the memory. When I looked at my memory the memory was running 5:6,

Now I unlinked my memory from the FSB. And it's now running 5-5-5-18.

When I fixed this, I did another run at Intel Burn Test and Primetest95. But still no freeze.. When I just random surf on the Internet I got a Freeze.

No error no nothing.
When I was running those test's I was looking at my vcore. The problem is, the vcore goes lower and lower. And I guess that's the problem. I allready put my Vcore to 1.275 at the moment.

Next to this, do you guys think I can overclock further with 1:1? Or shouldn't I risk it?

My specs are;

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 3.2 Ghz now.
XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI Intel
Corsair Twin2X 4GB DDR2-800 CL5 EPP DHX kit
And a Scythe Mugen 2.

Also those are my temps at idle;

At 100% load they don't go over 60.

Voltage should decrease under load, that's a good thing. When browsing it'll stay high, so this probably isn't the issue.

It's probably memory or northbridge related, even though ibt should show this up. Mine freezes at random but passes stability testing at present, though it's x58 so not directly comparable. Slightly increasing northbridge or ram voltage may help.

I have a nasty suspicion that the nvidia chipsets don't do very well with intel chips, but we'll have to wait for someone who's used the 780i to be certain.

I used to run a 750i board with a Q9550 and 4x 1GB DIMMs of DDR2 1066MHz at 3.4GHz quite happily. Did get it upto 3.6GHz.
Although the nVidia chips dont seem to clock as well I wouldnt expect it to be hampering you just yet. Though i cant remmember the clock speed of a Q9450 so dont know what percentage increase youre running atm.

Can we see a screenie of the [SPD] tab from CPU-z please, it would appear you are using DDR2-800 which is rated to run at 400MHz not 480MHz as shown in your screenie above . . .
That was my first overclock, I lowered it to 400mhz and now it is running 1:1 but still seem to freeze @ different programs. All stability tests it seem to run fine. Since I run 1:1 my firefox doesn't crash anymore. So that's a good thing. ^^
