Trying to get the best out of my rig I have the following hardware
Crucial Ballistix Tactical tracer RAM PC3-12800C8 1600MHz
Gigabyte X58A-OC Intel X58 (Socket 1366)
i7 920 D0
7950
I have it running at 3.6GHZ but for some reason I struggle to get it to boot properly @ 3.8Ghz
has anyone got any advice on what bios settings I can try in order to achieve a stable overclock ?
It does have a 4GHZ I win button though it does boot I think it locks voltages to Auto and my temps climb to a stupid 88c if I set the volts manually the temps are far more stable.

or what i should be looking at? managed to get it to run at 3.6GHZ but wanting to push it a little more, if i have it stable at 3.6 assuming the cause of the instability could be in that i may need to apply more voltage?
