Overclocking, Temps on load

Hi,

Just recently upgraded the downstairs computer to bring it a little more in line, however it still has a good ole GTX260 in it.

It seems fine for the games/movies that get played downstairs, however playing with it I realised it clocks...seriously well..

I currently have it sitting at 775mhz core clock and 1200mhz memory clock, now when I run FurMark it the temperature just keeps rising, rising, rising pretty much past 80° with the 40% fan spinning, however if I set the fan to 70% (little louder) it remains stable at like 78°.

I shall get to the point, will this temp ever be reached while gaming? I understand due to it being an older card it might actually be under full load in some games, is it worth it? It seems like a massive difference in clock speeds.

The stock speeds where something like 576mhz core clock and 990mhz memory clock

Right last but not least, I have it all OC'd and ready to go.

Which program can I use that automatically OC's the card to a specific profile when you start certian apps? Really shouldn't have to go into MSI AB everytime and over/underclock the card, would prefer to not have it running at that speed 24/7 for no reason.

Stop using furmark and switch to something else. Furmark is known to stress GPU's far to much and could end up being the death of your card.

Use something like heaven 3.0 or 4.0
