hey guys, new the forums.... and this is my first post.. :)

Well i recently bought a e6850 and a foxconn mars motherboard... but the problem is how hard i try i cant get it over 3.6 ghz... tried changing the ram timings and the voltages but no help  if anyone has any ideas please let me know :)

Sorry for my grammar.

Welcome to the forums.

What spees memory are you running and is that set to the correct voltage? Iirc the 6850 runs at 3.0GHz stock, so have you managed an overclock at all on it, even just a few MHz?

i tried to overclock it, i got it to 3.6 ghz and it is stable... the problem is when i try to get it to 3.8 ghz it fails orthos and prime9 after 3-4min, my ram memory is aeneon pc2 6400 800 mhz

Well if your using the divider 1:1 (Sync mode one) then when your overclocking past 3.6GHz your be overclocking your RAM, so try lowering your RAM timings and maybe up the voltage of them or the MCH, or you just might need to up the vcore a bit more to make it stable at 3.8GHz.
