Overclocking, unable to establish wireless connection

I rooted through Google endlessly but can't find an answer to this, I can only get my 3200 to 2.6ghz, it'll do 2.7 and above but for some reason I'm completely unable to connect to my wireless router until I lower the FSB back down to 260mhz, it's done this on a couple of different motherboards now, anyone had the same problem?

I think its to do with the PCI frequencies when overclocking. a lot of people get similar problems. Someone with a bit more knowledge should be along to explain more.

That's the weird thing, the PCI bus was locked at 33mhz on my previous board but it still refused to connect, it's baffled me.

What board is it, I had a MSI NF3 neo2-p and i had to put my wireless in a different slot. It was a designated slot which was orange.

DFI Lanparty NF4 (not the Ultra) and an Asrock 939Esata 2, the PCI slots on both boards are all the same colour.

My ultra d does things like that, also doesnt recognise my mouse either.

I found its not a particuilar thing, but certain combination of freqs multis and dividers causes it.

Try lowering your cpu multi a notch and truying again

yep, happens to me too. Increasing chipset voltage from 1.5V to 1.6V solved it :confused:

1.6v eh? I might give that go in a minute, as for lowering the multiplier, I take it could just whack it down to 9 them up the FSB even further?

Yeah thats right, see if you casn raise it enough to use the next divider down.

My board has issues with the 150 divider

Ended up working, swapped the NIC's PCI slot again and it was doing 2.85ghz no sweat, swapped the motherboard back to the Asrock (as that was having the same trouble) and that's working too, think I'll stick with the Asrock board as it has SLI.
